The idea for “Captain Jack Rabbit” originated with a suggestion by a friend who admired my rabbit artwork in Las Cruces, New Mexico in 2008. (New Mexico=Jack Rabbits, not Jack Sparrow, right?) My picture “Captain Jack Rabbit” became a bestselling signed print. In 2009, a 10 year old kid visiting my art booth suggested I write a book about Captain Jack. I wrote the text in 2011 but it took until 2019 to revise the text, do the full-page illustrations and bring the book to publication. Enjoy! Aaarrrrgh!
